Founded in 1973, The Reybold Group has evolved from a real estate investor to a real estate developer and operator of one of the largest multi-service building and development companies in Delaware.
The 1970’s started off with the acquisition of land for development, as well as two older mobile home communities in New Castle County. Our commitment to value and quality was evident early on. Our first act as landowner was to upgrade those communities by installing new roads and utilities, which raised living standards and greatly enhanced the quality of life for our residents. Today, we operate eight mobile and manufactured home communities, which continue to redefine and challenge popular notions of affordable housing.
During the 1980’s, the company moved into commercial construction and development through its acquisition of the 100-acre Delaware Industrial Park. Successful construction of its first warehouse essentially launched Reybold’s Construction Division. This led to the design and construction of flex buildings that can serve as warehouse, office, retail, medical office space, or distribution centers. From there plans followed to build more mobile and manufactured home communities and to start building self storage facilities, residential communities, town centers and more.
Our third decade of growth saw the creation of the Reybold Self Storage business unit. With locations throughout northern Delaware, these modern facilities fulfill residential and business needs for secure, easily accessible self-storage space. Today, Reybold’s eight self storage locations are familiar sites in and around New Castle County, with more on the way.
In the 1990's, after 20+ years of residential management and development experience, we began planning St. Andrews, the New Castle County's first multi-form luxury leasing community, which includes 737 townhomes, apartments, and single-family homes. The success of St. Andrews is part of a larger vision of multiple luxury leasing community developments and, to that end, Reybold has acquired and set aside land for future endeavors.
Finally, the last several years have witnessed planning and construction of two new residential communities, Ascot Landing and Meridian Crossing. Ascot Landing offers affordable, green, single-family modular homes, nestled within a traditional neighborhood setting. Meridian Crossing offers a variety of home styles from townhomes and condominiums, to active adult carriage homes, Meridian Crossing showcases our collective 37 years of experience building and designing thoughtful, satisfying homes and neighborhoods.
As we reflect on our four decades of growth and change and continue to look towards the future, we’re proud that our initial values have remained constant.
